Oenothera speciosa 'Siskiyou' is a pink-flowering cultivar of the beautiful, low-growing evening primrose. Noted for its attractive, eye-catching rose-pink flowers (up to 2" wide), evening primrose grows to only 12-18" tall and up to 3' wide, producing profuse blooms from late spring to mid summer, attracting butterflies, bees, and other pollinators, and attracting gardeners with their sweet fragrance and gorgeous appearance!

'Siskiyou' evening primrose is originally native to rocky prairies and disturbed areas and, as such, tolerates a huge range of conditions. Performing best in full sun, Oenothera speciosa 'Siskiyou' also tolerates medium to dry soils, partial shade, poor and rocky sites, as well as deer dand rabbit damage, drought, and even black walnut juglone! This wide tolerance of environmental conditions makes 'Siskiyou' evening primrose almost as hardy as it is beautiful, and it makes for a lovely addition to low borders, small flower beds, pollinator gardens, and container plantings.
