Eutrochium dubium 'Little Joe' is a small, busy cultivar of Joe Pye weed (previously Eupatorium dubium) noted for its compact stature, attractive pink-purple flowers through the mid to late summer, and its good drought tolerance. Growing to only four to five feet tall rather than the 7-12' of some Joe Pye cultivars, 'Little Joe' adds the ecological benefits and pollinator appeal of larger Eutrochium to more compact areas of the garden.

Typically found on steam banks and near wetlands, 'Little Joe' grows best in moist, fertile soils but, unlike other Joe Pyes, is just as tolerant of sandy or rocky soils, with far better drought resistance than other cultivars. Flowers are attractive to a great number of pollinators, including bees, beetles, butterflies, hummingbirds, and many, many more.
