Agastache 'Blue Fortune' is a hybrid cultivar of two Agastache species, Agastache foeniculum and Agastache rugosa; while A. foeniculum is native to the US, A. rugosa is native to east Asia. The hybrid cultivar, 'Blue Fortune,' is named for its long-blooming, fragrant, lavender-blue bottlebrush flowers, which bloom from the mid summer into the late fall.

Fast-growing, clump-forming by nature, 'Blue Fortune' blooms are upright, attractive, and valuable to hummingbirds, butterflies, and other kinds of pollinators, but especially bumblebees. Once established, Agastache 'Blue Fortune' is drought tolerant, and resistant to deer and rabbits. With fragrant foliage and a compact size of only up to around two feet tall and wide, this plant makes a great addition to pollinator gardens and border plantings, but also thrives in an herb garden setting.
