Coreopsis rosea 'American Dream' is a cultivar of pink tickseed noted for its compact growth habit and rosy pink and light purple flowers with yellow centers, which contrast well against other yellow and orange Coreopsis selections. Growing to only around 10" tall, 'American Dream' has all the pollinator appeal of other Coreopsis cultivars, but prefers things on the moist side, which will work better for some gardens than the xeriphilic nature of some cultivars.

When provided with medium to wet, well-draining soil and full sun, Coreopsis rosea 'American Dream' puts on an excellent show from the late spring through the summer, attracting bees and butterflies galore. 'American Dream' also received a 3.1 out of 5 possible points in the Mt. Cuba Center trial garden, where it was praised for its profuse and attractive pink blooms, but noted for its slow spring emergence in Zone 7, which might make it a better choice as a mid to late summer flower rather than a full warm season plant.
