Viburnum cassinoides Lil' Ditty® (Dwarf Witherod Viburnum) Unity Grown

Lil' Ditty® is a cultivar of Viburnum nudum var. cassinoides (syn. Viburnum cassinoides) also called dwarf witherod viburnum, a naturally low-growing variety of viburnum. The Lil' Ditty® cultivar is noted for its vigorous, compact growth habit and profuse production of numerous, fragrant, creamy-white puffball flowers which bloom in late spring. Flowers are highly attractive to a number of bees and beetle pollinators, and are followed by masses of small round green berries in the summer months that turn to pink, red and finally blue-black by autumn which are attractive to birds.

Low-growing to only 1-2' tall with glossy green leaves and profuse spring blooms, Lil' Ditty® viburnum makes an excellent addition to small spaces and borders, as well as low-growing foundation plantings and pollinator gardens. With spring flowers, late summer berries, and beautiful bright orange, red, and purple foliage in the fall, Lil' Ditty® has a ton of multi-season appeal and a ton of ecological appeal all in a neat little package.

Note: To produce fruit, Viburnum cassinoides Lil' Ditty® should be planted with at least one other Viburnum that blooms at the same time in order to successfully cross-pollinate.
