Solidago rugosa (Rough Goldenrod) is a medium sized species of goldenrod, which blooms from September to October. The rough-leaved goldenrod is characterized by its long, drooping panicles of bright yellow flowers, and is set apart from other goldenrods by its deeply-veined, wrinkled leaves.

Native to much of the eastern US, Solidago rugosa is a valuable species for all kinds of pollinators and thrives in wetter environments, making it a great addition to both rain and pollinator gardens.
