'Densa', a cultivar of Ilex glabra has year-round display of glossy green foliage and native alternate to boxwoods.  'Densa' has a rounded, compact form with good branching, especially at ground level where inkberries tend to get leggy lower branching at the base.

A slow growing evergreen with a suckering habit, ideal for foundation or hedge planting, and containers too.  Best suited for full sun and can tolerate a few hours of daily shade.  Prefers moist, acidic soils but adaptable to most soil conditions. Prune 'Densa' in early summer when new growth has hardened off.
