The Staro variety of chive is well-regarded for its thick leaves, the heaviest chive leaf on the market, which makes them perfect for using fresh, freezing, or drying! While everyone knows that chive leaves can be used, flowers can also be cut up and used as a wonderful addition to salads, sauces, and potato salad.

Grows to 12-18" tall and clumps well, requiring only 2-8" of space between seedlings. Chives can be harvested with shears at any point in their lifespan. Alternatively, bunches can be pulled out by the roots to thin established patches.

Plants are available in 4" containers beginning the week of 3/17.
