Regarded as an excellent ornamental annual as well as a non-conventional salad ingredient, the 'Sparky' mix of French marigolds has beautiful blooms in all shades of fiery orange which attract pollinators and distract pest insects; flowers also add a ton of color as well as spicy, bitter, and occasionally citrusy flavors to any salad.
The Sparky' mix marigolds come in single- and double-blooms, colors including rust, yellow, orange, red and bicolor blooms, and have smoother petals than the typical French Brocade marigold, lending themselves well as cut flowers. Marigolds are well regarded for their highly branching habit and adaptability to a variety of garden conditions. Most often planted in beds, containers, or in and alongside gardens to deter rabbits and other garden pests, this marigold mix is sure to impress.
Mature plants reach a height of 8-12", and flower set occurs repeatedly throughout the late spring and summer; dead head to encourage reblooming.
