The 'Alpha' variety of calendula is well known for its showy, bright orange flowers, which double as an edible treat and work to help keep away rabbits and potential pest insects too! The 'Alpha' variety of calendula is also reported to have high resin content in its flowers, making it an excellent choice to grow for salves, burn balms, and other topical uses.
Grows to a mature height of 24-30" tall and small bunches can be planted with about 6-12" of spacing in between.
