Geranium x Azure Rush® (Cranesbill)

The direct offspring of popular geranium cultivar Geranium 'Rozanne,' the Azure Rush® cultivar improves upon the features of one of the already most popular geranium cultivars available in the US. While 'Rozanne' was noted for its squat, bushy growth habit, vigorous flower production, and its exceptionally long-lasting blue-purple blooms, Azure Rush® steps up the game by introducing flowers with azure to violet petals lined with lighter purple and slight, red veins. In addition, Azure Rush® produces blooms "freely and continuously" throughout its growing season from mid spring well into the fall.

Still just as reliably low-growing to only 12-18" tall with a spread up to 2' wide, the Azure Rush® cultivar's 5-petaled blooms are softer and more pastel than those of 'Rozanne,' but are equally as eye-catching in a shaded environment. Highly valued for its ornamental value, Geranium Azure Rush® is well-regarded for its resistance to deer and rabbit damage, its butterfly attracting qualities, and its tolerance of dry soils and partial shade conditions.
