Aster x 'Wood's Purple' is a hybrid dwarf cultivar of Aster noted for its brilliant purple summer and fall blooms, which attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators; dried flowers in the fall will also attract birds. Asters are capable of widespread cross-pollination and hybridizing, and 'Wood's Purple' will make a great addition to any space with or without other asters. Blooming between mid summer and early fall, this hearty aster grows to 12-18" tall and thrives in both full sun and partial shade.

'Wood's Purple' has a compact, mounding growth habit, which makes it an excellent choice for smaller spaces. In addition to its small footprint and attractive blooms, 'Wood's Purple' is also deer, rabbit, tolerant and resistant to salt, drought and wet soil, making it a versatile plant for all areas of the home garden.
