Buxus sempervirens 'Dee Runk’ is an attractive upright cultivar of European boxwood with a slow-growing habit can grow to large sizes of up to 8' or 10' tall while staying as narrow as only 2-3' wide. The 'Dee Runk' cultivar's firmly upright behavior, evergreen foliage, and slightly upward branching add excellent dimension to any garden, but work especially well when planted as accents among other boxwood cultivars.

In the late spring months, Buxus sempervirens produces small, white flowers which are relatively inconspicuous, but attractive to pollinators like native bees. 'Dee Runk' is a versatile plant, and can tolerate a variety of light levels, though it prefers part shade; as long as it has good drainage, Buxus sempervirens 'Dee Runk’ can adapt to a wide variety of soil types and locations including borders and beds, foundations, and even large containers, and is a low-maintenance addition to any evergreen hedge or screen.
