Agastache 'Agapd' Beelicious® Purple (Anise Hyssop) Unity Grown

An open-pollinated hybrid from unknown parents, Beelicious® Purple Agastache is sure to impress in any garden, with its dark green foliage, profuse purple flowers, and great performance in both humid summers and harsh winters. While other cultivars of Agastache can suffer greatly from powdery mildew and other health issues in humid summers, Beelicious® Purple can stand up to almost any intense summer conditions. With the fragrant leaves of other anise hyssops, and with dark purple flowers that stand out in a crowd, Beelicious® Purple Agastache makes for a beautiful, fragrant, and pollinator-attracting addition to the garden from mid summer to early fall.

Although Beelicious® Purple anise hyssop is a great addition to herb gardens and pollinator plantings, it also works great in open meadows thanks to its deer resistance, and in arid sites, thanks to its drought tolerance once established. Beelicious® Purple performs best in coarse, well draining soils and in full sun, and works wonderfully for cut flowers and to attract hummingbirds, birds, and pollinators to the garden. Though Beelicious® Purple Agastache is a hybrid and may not produce as many fertile seeds as a plain anise hyssop species, this cultivar is still a mint relative, and may spread over time.
