Viburnum x Yardline™ is an attractive, hybrid cultivar of evergreen viburnum from plant breeder Dr. Tom Ranney in association with Proven Winners. As a result of crossbreeding between the attractive tree-form Viburnum sieboldii and the glossy, evergreen Viburnum awabuki, Yardline™ has all the beautiful evergreen appeal of a standard 'Chindo' viburnum, but with a neater, narrower, more upright form, growing to about 12' tall but only about 4' wide. Perfect for attractive all-season hedges and privacy borders, Yardline™ produces large clusters of small, fragrant white flowers in the spring, which are attractive to a variety of pollinators as well as gardeners, and produces dense thickets of foliage over time.

Though Yardline™ is the child of a few non-native species, this cultivar of viburnum is still highly sought after for its dense, evergreen foliage and its narrow, upright behavior that supports birds and pollinators while filling useful niches around the home landscape. With its pretty spring flowers, Yardline™ also makes for a hardy specimen planting, as it is additionally resistant to deer and rabbit damage, cold, heat, and drought! Viburnum x Yardline™ works great anywhere with medium moisture and average soil, and prefers part shade or full sun to produce its best foliage, though intense sun may result in some leaf spotting.
