Verbena canadensis 'Homestead Purple' is an incredibly showy cultivar of verbena noted for its striking and vibrant purple flowers, which are produced in abundance from the spring all the way through until fall. Well regarded for its lush green foliage as well as its flowers, 'Homestead Purple' is a creeping perennial that works well as a groundcover planting in beds and pollinator gardens.

Verbena canadensis 'Homestead Purple' performs best in full sun conditions and prefers very well draining soils with consistent watering. Purple flowers are highly attractive to pollinators including native bees and butterflies, and though it grows to a low-maintenance height of only 12-18" tall, it responds well to pruning at any point in the season, making it an attractive and versatile addition to any garden.
