An outstanding Italian heirloom variety, this tomato is noted for its excellent, fully-bodied tomato flavor and dense flesh. Perfect for sandwich slices as well as sauces and canning thanks to its dense structure and easy-to-peel skin. Italian Heirloom produces a moderate number of very large fruits, occasionally over a pound each.
As a very large variety, Italian Heirloom vines can get up to 6-8' tall and will require staking. The Italian Heirloom variety is an indeterminate tomato, and will continuously grow and produce fruit through the late spring and summer as long as it is provided with enough water, nutrients, and support.
Plants are available in 4" containers beginning the week of 4/21.
