Foamflower is a small, native perennial flower, grown for its interesting foliage and spikes of white flowers; in the case of the 'Brandywine' cultivar, the foliage consists of wide-lobed green leaves with deep, wine-colored central veins. While the foliage grows only 8-12" tall, the taller spikes of bold, creamy white blooms can reach up to 18". While compact in nature, foamflowr also spreads via runners in the spring and fall.

Through fall and winter, the 'Brandywine' cultivar's glossy leaves fade to a bronze color, adding an eye-catching element to cold-season landscapes.
