Squash Summer Yellow Unity Grown

Delta is an attractive yellow semi-crookneck summer squash variety with fruits 4-8" long. Fruits have a nutty flavor, medium-thick skin, and firm texture. Versatile for culinary use, yellow summer squash can be sauteed, grilled, pickled, and is one of the main stars in the attractive French dish ratatouille. Squash blossoms can also be harvested and cooked, but make sure to leave some female flowers on the plant to actually produce fruit!

This variety of yellow summer squash has a relatively open habit, but spreads fairly easily; plants can be placed 18-24" apart from one another, but should be given about 6' of room to spread and produce their fruit. Individual stalks with leaves and flowers may reach up to 3' in height.

Plants are available in 4-inch containers beginning the week of 4/28.
