Solidago caesia (Blue-stemmed Goldenrod) is a small, shade-tolerant species of goldenrod which typically grows from two to three feet tall. Set apart by its bluish-purple stems, blue-stemmed goldenrod produces small, scattered clusters of yellow flower heads during the late summer and early fall.

While some species of goldenrod spread aggressively, blue-stemmed goldenrod is small and slow to spread, while still attracting many species of pollinators and birds.
