Rudbeckia laciniata 'Herbstsonne' (also called Autumn Sun Coneflower) is a cultivar of the cutleaf coneflower, a sunflower-like, perennial wildflower. Similar to its parent plant, the 'Herbstsonne' cultivar also produces narrow, branching stalks with large, ovate leaves and bright yellow flowers from the mid-summer to late fall.

Where 'Herbstsonne' really shines is its blooms; while slightly shorter than its parent plant at five to seven feet tall, 'Herbstsonne' translates to 'Autumn Sun' in German, and this name comes from the cultivar's rapid and profuse production of 4-5" flowers, which are larger than that of its parent plant.

Rudbeckia laciniata 'Herbstsonne' is moderately deer-resistant and beneficial for pollinators and birds, and requires less maintenance and staking than the straight plant.
