Phlox subulata 'Amazing Grace' is a cultivar of creeping phlox, a low growing, mat-forming, native evergreen perennial known for its flowers. The 'Amazing Grace' cultivar is named after the flowers it produces from mid to late spring which are pure white with a darker purple 'eye' in the center of each flower. These blooms are so prolific that they will occasionally cover the entire mat of needle-like foliage below the flowers.

Also commonly referred to as moss phlox, creeping phlox is an excellent ground-cover plant, only growing to 4-6" tall but spreading easily. 'Amazing Grace' also grows well in a wide-variety of soils, provided that it's well-draining, meaning that it works for edgings and borders as well as container growing.
