Heuchera x 'Silver Scrolls' is a hybrid coral bell cultivar noted for its especially striking purple and silver accented foliage. Then, in early spring, well above this showy groundcover habit, 'Silver Scrolls' produces stalks of showy, pinky and white flowers, perfect for a pop of color and for attracting pollinators. Shade-loving, low maintenance, and eye-catching through multiple seasons, 'Silver Scrolls' is a great low-growing addition to any shaded area, and works excellently as an underplanting for larger trees or shrubs.
Heuchera 'Silver Scrolls' foliage typically grow to under 12" tall, but this cultivar's flower spikes can add an additional 2' to each plant's total size; due to the leaves fuzzy texture, coral bells are commonly ignored by browsing deer and rabbits. Spring blooms are attractive to butterflies, and the natural mounding behavior of 'Silver Scrolls' means they will grow happily in groups or when planted next to other shade-loving perennials, where their semi-evergreen purple and silver foliage can draw the eye through spring, summer, and fall.
Although 'Silver Scrolls' is a hybrid, all ornamental Heuchera species are native to North America.
