An award-winning cultivar of Echinacea purpurea, 'Magnus' is a sun-loving perennial that comes with bold, giant flowers and rosy, purple-pink petals that are held flat without drooping like other coneflowers. A compact, early bloomer with lasting blooms from late spring to late summer or fall, 'Magnus' is perfect for borders, prairies, small gardens, and even forest edges.

'Magnus' is excellent for cut flowers, and cutting flower heads can prolong its bloom window, but when flower heads are left intact, they can last through the late fall and winter seasons, provides a food source for a variety of songbirds. 'Magnus' blooms attract butterflies, pollinators, and hummingbirds, and are additionally deer resistant and tolerant of drought, heat, and humidity. Echinacea purpurea, 'Magnus' typically grows to 30-36" tall, but can reach a height of up to 4' with a relatively narrow spread, and thrives in full sun in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils.
