Job Description: Nursery Account Manager
Position Overview
The Nursery Account Manager plays a critical role in strengthening our wholesale customer relationships, expanding our presence in the regional marketplace, and ensuring every client receives outstanding service. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong plant knowledge and a talent for sales, communication, and strategic account growth.
You’ll represent Unity at industry events, lead communication with wholesale accounts, collaborate with our production and sales teams, and help shape strategies that support the nursery’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relations & Sales Development
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with wholesale clients.
- Initiate regular communication through calls, email, and digital platforms.
- Proactively identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to convert prospects.
- Represent Unity at trade shows, conferences, and client visits to strengthen visibility and engagement.
Account Management & Operations
- Oversee all wholesale customer orders—from intake through fulfillment—ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Coordinate special-order plant sourcing and communicate availability, pricing and timelines with clients.
- Collect and analyze sales and market data to support business improvement initiatives.
- Resolve client issues with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-driven mindset.
Business Support & Collaboration
- Participate in internal business meetings and provide updates on client activity, sales projections, and market insights.
- Assist the management team with budgeting, forecasting, and sourcing strategies.
- Support onsite nursery sales and special events as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Extensive sales and customer service experience
- Strong knowledge of plant material (native plant knowledge preferred)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or customer management role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with wholesale nurseries or landscape industry clients
- Familiarity with CRM systems or sales tracking platforms
- Event, trade show, or B2B relationship-development experience
- Comfort with social media or marketing tools
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: $52,000+ annually, commensurate with experience
- Full-time position, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for seasonal weekend work
