'Fall Gold' is a unique gold raspberry cultivar noted for its heavy fruit production, incredibly flavorful berries, and its enhanced disease resistance over other popular cultivars; unlike many other gold raspberries, 'Fall Gold' is self-fertile and will only require one plant to start producing fruit. Like 'Caroline,' 'Fall Gold' raspberrry is also unique in that it will produce fruits on new growth, called primocane, in the late summer, and then a second crop of fruit on old growth, called floricane, in the late spring/early summer of the next year, resulting in two different crops of berries!

Performing best in full sun, though tolerating part shade, 'Fall Gold' golden raspberry produces a heavy set of golden yellow to orange intensely flavorful fruits, though shadier locations may result in less fruit set. While these raspberry plants are obviously valuable to the home gardener for their tasty fruit, they're also ecologically valuable to a variety of pollinators, including butterflies and their larvae, as well as birds and mammals both small and large. 'Fall Gold' raspberries are also only moderately sized at maturity, typically maxing out around 4-5' tall and 2-3' wide, making them ideal for the home garden without too much time spent trellising or pruning into shape.
