'Burgundy Mist' is a dark-leafed cultivar of Lysimachia lanceolata, commonly called lanceleaf loosestrife, a short, sprawling perennial noted for its low-maintenance care, narrow, grass-like leaves, and showy yellow flowers all summer long. Growing up to two feet tall, but spreading up to three feet, lanceleaf loosestrife prefers full sun, but requires very little special treatment otherwise, tolerating a variety of soil types and moisture levels, and surviving hot summers and seasonal flooding.

Yellow flowers are highly attractive to native pollinators, and burgundy foliage adds multi-season appeal to an already excellent groundcover selection. 'Burgundy Mist' is an excellent choice for naturalizing, planting in beds as a filler plant, or for planting as a weed-supressing groundcover, with its evergreen basal foliage squeezing out weeds all year long.
