A slow growing evergreen with a suckering habit, ideal for foundation or hedge planting, and containers too. Best suited for full sun and can tolerate a few hours of daily shade. Prefers moist, acidic soils but adaptable to most soil conditions. Prune 'Nigra' in early summer when new growth has hardened off.
