Regarded as an "ultra-compact" cultivar, Solidago canadensis 'Little Miss Sunshine' is a showy, ecologically beneficial goldenrod that grows to only a fraction the size of other goldenrods, at only 12-18" tall and wide. Blooming from mid summer well into the fall, 'Little Miss Sunshine' produces a profusion of golden yellow flowers on gracefully arching spikes, adding a ton of color to the late summer and autumn landscapes while providing food to late season pollinators.

'Little Miss Sunshine' does best in locations with full sun and moist but well-drained soils, but with some tolerance to drought, does well through drier summer months. With long blooming flowers perfect for cut arrangements and a slow spreading habit less aggressive than other goldenrods, this cultivar makes an excellent addition to wildflower and pollinator gardens, meadows, and even seasonal border plantings, where its low-growing height won't obstruct too much of the environment.
