Phlox subulata 'Candy Stripes' is a cultivar of creeping phlox, a low growing, mat-forming, native evergreen perennial known for its flowers. The 'Candy Stripes' cultivar is so named for its mid to late spring flowers which are light pink with white stripes on the petal margins, resembling candy cane stripes.

Also commonly referred to as moss phlox, creeping phlox is an excellent ground-cover plant, only growing to 4-6" tall, but easily spreading to cover larger areas up to 2' wide. 'Candy Stripes' is tolerant of a wide variety of harsh conditions, and will grow well anywhere with full sun and well-draining soil, including rock gardens, containers, and other small spaces.
