A Perennial Plant of the Year Award in 1998 as 'Magnus', a sun-loving perennial that comes with bold, giant flowers and rosy, purple petals that are held flat and not drooping like other coneflowers.  An early bloomer and compact with lasting blooms into late summer. Perfect for boarders, prairies, small gardens, and containers.  Excellent for cut flowers and when flower heads remain throughout the late fall and winter season, provides a host for birds that feed on the seeds. Attracts butterflies, pollinators, and hummingbirds, and deer resistant.

30-36" tall and 12-18" wide, thrives in full sun in average, dry to medium moisture, with well drained soils.  Tolerant of drought, heat, and humidity.
