Phlox subulata 'Amazing Grace' is a cultivar of creeping phlox, a low growing, mat-forming, native evergreen perennial known for its showy flowers. The 'Amazing Grace' cultivar is set apart from other showy moss phlox by the flowers it produces from mid to late spring, which are pure white with a darker purple 'eye' in the center of each flower. These blooms are so prolific that they will occasionally cover the entire mat of needle-like foliage below the flowers.

Also commonly referred to as moss phlox, creeping phlox is an excellent ground-cover plant, only growing to 4-6" tall but spreading easily. 'Amazing Grace' also grows well in a wide-variety of soils, provided that it's well-draining, meaning that it works for edgings and borders as well as container growing.
