A new cultivar of one of the classics! Pantera early jalapeño peppers are an improved variety with large, 3-4.5" peppers, perfect for stuffing. Mild in flavor, but not in heat, jalapeños can range anywhere between 2,000 and 8,000 Scoville units depending on maturity and growing conditions. Perfect for cheese-stuffed poppers, nacho toppings, or pickling.
Relatively tall among peppers, jalapeños can grow up to 3' tall, and grow best when spaced 18-24" apart. The Pantera cultivar is an early fruiting variety, so plants will produce a lot of peppers over the course of the season, and the tastier (but hotter) mature red peppers will grow in a bit faster too!
Plants are available in 4" containers the week of 5/7.
