Thoroughly in the realm of hot chili peppers, Long Red Narrow cayennes look and taste like the stereotypical chili: 5-6" long and a half-inch across, tapering to a fine point with spice in the level of 30,000-50,000 Scoville units.
Prolific fruiters, these cayenne peppers are perfect for hot sauce, red pepper flakes, and drying for storage or decoration. Relatively narrow plants, the recommended spacing for these cayennes is about 12-18" apart, and individual plants grow upright to a manageable height of 18-24".
Plants are available in 4" containers the week of 5/7.
