Phlox stolonifera 'Blue Ridge' is a cultivar of creeping phlox, a spreading perennial groundcover that produces excellent powder blue flowers in the mid- to late Spring. Growing typically to less than 12" tall, 'Blue Ridge' is a great bed flower with soft, pillowy, fragrant blooms above a sea of compact, bright green rounded foliage that retain its color year round.

Attractive to a number of pollinators including native bees and butterflies, and performing best in full to part-shade, Phlox stolonifera 'Blue Ridge' is the perfect plant to line beds or underplant larger shrubs in shaded pollinators gardens or naturalize in woodland settings. This Maryland native requires only an average amount of moisture, and grows well in sandy, slightly acidic soils, and is tolerant of more light with consistent moisture, making it a very versatile groundcover selection.
