Heucherella, also called foamy bells, is a 'best of both world' hybrid of two shade-loving favorites: Heuchera and Tiarella, and the 'Sweet Tea' cultivar adds a ton of color and pollinator appeal to the home garden. Noted for its showy, semi-evergreen foliage, 'Sweet Tea' produces clumping foliage from 20-30" tall and wide in striking shades of orange, apricot, and rosy pink with darker, burgundy red veins. With a ton of multi-season interest, 'Sweet Tea' foliage turns to darker orange and cinnamon brown tones in the fall and winter.
In late spring and early summer, Heucherella x 'Sweet Tea' produces foamy white flowers on upright spikes above the foliage, which attract all number of bees and other pollinators. Heucherella prefers medium moist soil and partial sun, though it easily tolerates brighter and darker light. 'Sweet Tea' is not picky about soil consistency, and will perform well in a variety of landscapes; low-growing foliage and wide tolerance makes 'Sweet Tea' an excellent choice for just about any small space.
