Heuchera x 'Lemon Love' (Coral Bells)

Heuchera x 'Lemon Love' is a hybrid coral bell cultivar noted for its eye-catching chartreuse to lemon yellow foliage with a partially ruffled appearance. Shade-loving, low maintenance, and producing beautiful spikes of bell-shaped flowers from early spring well into the fall, 'Lemon Love' is a great low-growing addition to any shaded area, contrasts well when planted with darker colored plants, and works excellently as an underplanting, especially since this cultivar is far less prone to turning colors or burning when grown in partial to full shade, even among other lighter colored cultivars.

Heuchera typically grow to under 12" tall, but 'Lemon Supreme' is a bit more upright, and grows to about 10-14" tall with a sprawling spread of up to almost 3' wide. Heuchera are commonly ignored by browsing deer, due to their fuzzy texture, and 'Lemon Supreme' makes an excellent hardy addition to the garden with an added pop of color to darker, shadier areas. Late spring to summer blooms are attractive to butterflies, bees, and other pollinators, and the natural mounding behavior of this cultivar means that 'Lemon Supreme' will grow happily in groups or when planted next to other shade-loving perennials.

Although 'Lemon Supreme' is a hybrid, all ornamental Heuchera species are native to North America.
