Hemerocallis 'Pandora's Box' is an early midseason daylily cultivar that produces graceful, upright flowers in late spring and early summer. Flowers are large and open, with striking creamy apricot petals that turn to dark wine-red toward the center; with proper care, 'Pandora's Box' may rebloom later in summer, producing even more eye-catching flowers to extend its seasonality.
'Pandora's Box' thrives in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained, organically rich soils, although like most daylilies, this cultivar is tolerant of a wide variety of soil types. Like all daylilies, Hemerocallis 'Pandora's Box' is relatively low maintenance, only requiring supplemental watering when the weather gets especially hot and dry. This cultivar's ornamental appearance can be maintained with the removal of spent flower stalks and the cutting back of foliage after it begins to dies back in the late fall fall.
