Baptisia x Decadence® 'Blueberry Sundae' is a blue-flowering hybrid Baptisia noted for its vibrant, long-lasting flowers. Hybridized from two US native Baptisias, Baptisia australis and Baptisia australis var. minor, 'Blueberry Sundae has all of the same native appeal to butterflies, bumblebees, and other pollinators from late spring to early summer.

Growing to around three feet tall when given average to dry soils and full to part sun, and occasionally spreading up to three feet wide this cultivar's brilliant blue-purple flowers give way to persistent, attractive, dark seed pods in late summer which last through the fall and winter, and which serve as an important food source to late season birds. Once established, 'Blueberry Sundae' is drought and salt tolerant and tolerates poor and acidic soils.
