Amsonia hubrichtii 'Butterscotch' (Bluestar) Unity Grown

Amsonia hubrichtii 'Butterscotch' is a dependable and colorful cultivar of Amsonia hubrichtii, also called Hubricht's Bluestar, a herbaceous perennial that produces profuse powder-blue flowers in mid spring that attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and a variety of other pollinators. 'Butterscotch' grows to between two and three feet tall, and can be differentiated from the straight species by its redder stems, as well as its vibrant yellow fall color.

Named for its red stems and bright yellow leaves, this cultivar's fall colors add a strikingly rich butterscotch note to the off-season landscape, extending its ornamental season well into the fall.
