Phlox paniculata Luminary® 'Backlight' is a striking, white-flowering cultivar of tall garden phlox, an upright phlox species noted for its upright growth form and found across most of the eastern United States. The 'Backlight' cultivar is part of the Luminary® series of improved phloxes by Proven Winners, and is noted for its clean, snow-white flowers which are produced in tight bunches, its persistent, upright habit, and its compact height of only 24-30" tall.

Luminary® 'Ultraviolet' performs best in full sun, though it will tolerate some shade, and excels in average soils, well-draining soils. While individual Phlox paniculata can be planted as accents, they also look great when planted en masse, and can be deadheaded to keep up their floral show for several months, making them perfect for cut flower arrangements too!
