Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam' is a cultivar of threadleaf tickseed, an upright perennial wildflower commonly found in prairies and open field conditions across North America. The 'Moonbeam' cultivar is noted for its more compact growth form and its pale yellow, daisy-like flowers with darker yellow center disks.

'Moonbeam' grows to around two feet tall, compared to its parent species's height of around three feet, but the cultivar still makes for an excellent low to medium height wildflower, with its long-lasting blooms appearing in June and persisting until August. 'Moonbeam' also has the added benefit of being tolerant of drought, high heat and humidity, and poor soil conditions. Coreopsis verticillata flowers are attractive to a number of pollinators, including several endangered butterfly species and a number of specialist bees, adding a ton of pollinator appeal to its beauty.

This selection of Coreopsis verticillata 'Moonbeam' was grown and raised here at Unity Church Hill Nursery.
