Coreopsis x 'UpTick™ Cream & Red' (Tickseed)

Coreopsis x 'UpTick™ Cream & Red' is a hybrid tickseed cultivar in the award-winning UpTick series from the Ball Horticultural Company. This cultivar is noted for its attractive, showy flowers in shades of buttery yellow and dark wine red, which bloom from June through to September.

As a Coreopsis, 'UpTick™ Cream & Red' has excellent tolerance to heat, drought, full sun, and cold, but also puts on a better display than some other low-growing tickseeds. Growing to only 12-14" tall, 'Cream & Red' is more compact than some Coreopsis varieties and forms small, mounded clumps, making it a great choice for specimen plantings in beds, pollinator gardens, or along landscape borders. This cultivar's attractive yellow and red flowers are a source of nectar for a variety of pollinators, and beyond ecological appeal, its showy two-tone blooms are a fantastic addition to any full sun location around the home.
