Prunus x Easy as Pie® is a hybrid, dwarf cherry cultivar, perfect for delightful fruit harvests all through the summer. Noted for its profuse fruit set and its compact size, the Easy as Pie® cultivar grows to only 3-5' tall and wide at maturity, and produces a heavy set of small, tart, bright red cherries in the summer months. Although the fruit may be the mainstay, Prunus x Easy as Pie® also produces telltale white and pink-tinged spring cherry blossoms, and has gorgeous fall colors, making this cherry pick not just great for fruit, but also for decorative hedges with a ton of seasonal appeal. Flowers are attractive to pollinators and butterflies, and fruits are attractive to insects, wildlife, and people with their gorgeous appearance and light fragrance!

As a semi-tart cherry, Easy as Pie® fruits can be eaten right from the bush, but are also wonderful in jams and pies, and this cultivar does not require a pollinating partner, making delicious ripe cherries even easier in the home garden. Prunus x Easy as Pie® grows best in areas with full sun, and prefers average, medium-moist, well-draining soils. This cultivar's low-maintenance growth habit and compact size, plus its year-round ornamental appeal makes growing fruit in your own backyard.
