Well known as the defining ingredient of salsa verde and a variety of other Mexican and Latin American dishes, tomatillos are closely related to husk cherries, but this variety can be consumed ripe for a sweet taste, and unripe for a tarter, acidic taste. The Cisineros Grande variety of tomatillos is well regarded for its large fruits (up to 2.5" in diameter) and high productivity.

Relatively tall plants with structure similar to tomato or pepper plants, Cisineros Grande tomatillo plants can reach 3-4' tall with a spread of 2-3' and should be placed in the garden as appropriate for this size.

Plants are available in 4" containers beginning the week of 4/28.
