The attractive bi-color red and yellow skin of the Striped German heirloom tomato sets it apart in the garden. But this tomato's complex, fruity flavor and red and yellow marbled interior also sets it apart in salads and sandwiches.
This variety is an indeterminate tomato, and will continuously grow and produce fruit through the late spring and summer as long as it is provided with enough water, nutrients, and support and typically reaches around 6' tall, requiring some staking. Striped German produces a moderate amount of large fruit (typically around 12oz) on medium-tall vines.
