Sedum sexangulare (Tasteless Stonecrop) is a low-growing succulent perennial originally native to Europe and southwestern Asia, but now naturalized throughout parts of North America. Although low-growing, Sedum spectabile forms dense green mats with small yellow flowers in the summer, and the greens eventually turn to coppery red hues in the fall and winter.

All stonecrop plants provide excellent groundcover, especially in rock gardens, on rock walls or ledges, or in shallow, rocky soil.
