Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum' is a variegated cultivar of Polygonatum odoratum, an upright, shade-loving perennial that produces fragrant white flowers in the late spring and early summer. Polygonatum odoratum grows to between one and three feet tall and produces large, soft green leaves on stalks that bend over as the plant matures.

The 'Variegatum' cultivar means that the foliage on this cultivar is variegated, so the leaves are green, tinged with cream white or pale yellow at the edges, which makes for a stand-out impression among other shade-plant foliage.

Polygonatum odoratum is originally native to eastern Europe and Asia, however, many Solomon's seals are also native.
