Paeonia lactiflora is a medium height peony, a shrubby perennial grown for its attractive green foliage and large, fragrant, showy flowers. Paeonia typically reach between three and four feet high at full maturity, though some cultivars are slightly shorter, and grow best in well-drained, fertile soils. Peonies are attractive to butterflies and are long-lived, deer- and rabbit-resistant, and easy to maintain throughout their active growth windows, only requiring dead-heading of expired blooms.

'White Towers' is a pure white peony cultivar, bred for its large, fully-double crisp white flowers. This cultivar blooms from late May through the end of June, and the contrast of the namesake 'White Towers' blooms against its dark green foliage makes it an excellent choice for both gardens and cut flower arrangements.
