Helenium autumnale Mariachi™ Bandera is a vibrant cultivar of sneezeweed in the Mariachi line of Heleniums. Growing to only 18-20" tall in full sun and well-drained fertile soils, Bandera sneezeweed produces profuse, attractive daisy-like blooms in shades of chocolate, burgundy, and golden yellow from mid to late summer and occasionally into the fall. Flowers are highly attractive to pollinators, and Bandera's blooms have the added benefit of drought tolerance and a more compact package, perfect for rock gardens and container plantings.

Best planted in pollinator gardens and naturalized meadows, but no stranger to raised beds and accent pots, Helenium autumnale Mariachi™ Bandera is generally avoided by deer, and long-lasting blooms make for great cut flowers. Although the plant's name of sneezeweed implies that it might trigger pollen allergies, the plant is pollinated by bees and butterflies and doesn't present any additional allergy risk.
